It's not often when something that starts in the Dakotas ends up in Las Vegas, rather than the other way around, but it's happening to one local burger restaurant.

Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews, the North Dakota based chain, is heading to Sin City's Town Square, a shopping, dining, and entertainment center on Las Vegas Boulevard, just south of the famous Las Vegas Strip.

Sickies launched in Fargo in 2012 and came to Lousie Avenue in Sioux Falls in late 2016, taking over the location that once housed Bennigan's and later Rookies.

According to Eater Vegas, Sickies will spend $900,000 to build the new location on the west side of the complex. An opening date has yet to be announced.

The Sickies menu is highlighted by 50 burgers and 50 brews, including the half-pound American Kobe beef Superbike topped with Boursin cheese; the spicy Chowzilla served on Texas toast; the Barbecue Wood Chipper, featuring coleslaw, pulled pork, chips, and smoked Gouda; and a burger prepared with glazed doughnuts for the bun, plus American cheese and peppered bacon.

The chain, which currently has locations in Sioux Falls, Rapid City, Fargo, Bismarck, East Grand Forks, Minnesota, and Bellevue, Nebraska, is also planning to expand to Florida in 2020.
