That is hardly the case.
Each and every part of the United States does have the same offerings from the big burger chains, but there are some burgers that are unique to specific areas of the country - some with huge cult followings.
With that in mind, Eat This, Not That! has published their picks of the '15 Regional Burgers You Have to Try at Least Once'.
A trio from the Tri-State area made the cut.
At number seven is the ButterBurger with Cheese from Culver's.
The midwest chain began in Sauk City, Wisconsin in 1984 and has grown to 965 restaurants with 14 locations in South Dakota, 27 in Iowa, and 65 in Minnesota.
At number 12 is the Double Homestyle Burger from Burger Time.
This Fargo-based chain dates back to 1987 and has eight restaurants, including one South Dakota location (Sioux Falls) and three Minnesota locations.
14th on the regional list is the Cheeeesy Burger from Wayback Burgers.
This Newark, Deleware chain got its start as Jake's Hamburgers in 1991 and has grown to 156 restaurants, mainly in the south, east, and west coast, but there is one location in Minnesota (Woodbury).
