The report looked at the top 10 cities in each state, collecting the number of McDonald’s locations and their average ratings. Then, a weighted average of those city-level reviews was used to calculate which states have the highest- and lowest-rated McDonald’s overall.
Overall, Roswell, New Mexico, claimed the title for America's highest-rated McDonald's with an impressive average rating of 3.97. But not far behind in the Top Ten is South Dakota's third-largest city, Aberdeen.

The 'Hub City's' two 24-hour locations (403 North 2nd St and 1615 6th Ave SE) pulled in an impressive 3.9 ranking.
Aberdeen's lofty ranking was part of a strong South Dakota showing overall.
The Mount Rushmore State's 3.51 average customer score among 24 locations in the ten biggest cities landed just outside the Top Ten, at number 11 in the nation.
