Shoppers in the Tri-State Area (Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota) will have one fewer option available to them.

National retail chain Tuesday Morning is closing close to 300 stores nationwide as it enters Chapter 11 bankruptcy for the second time in the last three years.

In papers filed this week with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas - Fort Worth Division, the Dallas-based retailer said the store closures were necessary to "reduce its outstanding liabilities, obtain significant and necessary capital and ultimately transform into a nimbler retailer that serves heritage markets in a profitable manner."
