Fair Hills Resort in Detroit Lakes is a bit of a throwback, with modest cabins, and a whole host of activities like waterslides and campfires.

If you're looking for modern comforts like air conditioning or five-star dining, this is not the place for you.

But if an experience similar to summer camp is more your speed, you're in luck.

Accommodations range from one to four-bedroom cabins at this property, which opened on the shores of Pelican Lake in 1926.

Three meals daily are included with rates starting at just $197 per night for adults, $106 per night for kids.
