The Cost of Flying to Minneapolis Has Gone Way Up in 2023
If your next flight plans have you traveling to, or through, the Twin Cities be prepared for some serious sticker shock.
Fare increases for flights at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) are among the highest in the nation so far in 2023.
Thrillist is sharing the results of a CheapAir.com study that analyzed 128 million airfares in different cities across the United States.
The numbers show that travelers using MSP are paying 22 percent more for airfare compared to the first four months of 2022. That's tied with Fort Myers, Florida for the ninth-highest jump in the nation.

- Minneapolis, Minnesota; Fort Myers, Florida: +22%
If you're flying in and out of Iowa's biggest city, airfares in Des Moines are up 17 percent from last year.
The lowest increases were 10 percent at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in New Hampshire and in Oakland, California.
