2026 Burger Battle: CH Patisserie [REVIEW]
There has never been a better time to be a burger lover than right now.
The 2026 Burger Battle continues in Downtown Sioux Falls through the end of January, and for the 13th annual event, your choices are more plentiful than they've ever been.
This year, there are 50 different burgers to choose from, shattering last year's record of 39 entries.

This year's offering from CH Patisserie is the 'An American in Paris Street Burger'.
Here's the official description:

This is the first-ever Burger Battle entry for Chef Chris Hanmer, an award-winning pastry chef, so it comes as no surprise that a delicious, flaky croissant surrounds this burger. It comes in a paper cone, adding to its festive feel.
It delivers across the board with taste, texture, and presentation.
Every year, one burger stands out for its ability to be one of the top centenders despite its simplicity. There are no stacks of various meats atop the burger, or an obscene amount of toppings and sauces. This is straightforward and fantastic.
But there is a problem.
Word is out on this one, and demand has been staggering to say the least. With a daily allotment of just 50 burgers, they sell out fast. How fast? The day we were there, they were out less than 92 minutes after opening their doors.
Here's how it ranked:
- Flavor: 9
- Patty: 9
- Toppings: 8
- Bun: 9
- Presentation: 10
