Massive Iowa Burger Getting Big Attention on National Website

Since July, fans of a popular restaurant in Northwest Iowa have been waiting patiently for a feature piece on their go-to place to hit the internet.

On that summer day, a crew from America's Best Restaurants came to the town of 958 to sample a one-of-a-kind creation on the menu at CHUDS Pub & Grub. The video of that visit is now available online.

The burger is known as the Slawsome CHUD - a mashup of the restaurant's homemade cole slaw, BBQ sauce, zesty gold sauce, smoked gouda cheese, and onion petals served on a ciabatta bun.

ABR host Danyel Detomo got an up-close view of the preparation of the burger from CHUDS co-owner Kellie Stark.

The three-word verdict from Danyel:

The ten-minute segment also highlights two of CHUD'S other unique creations.

The Loaded Chuddy Mary is available on Thursdays and features a Bloody Mary pitcher topped with a different combination of items from week to week.

Also featured was the Crabby Chicken Sandwich, which combines chicken, sweet chili sauce, and crab dip.

Over the years, America's Best Restaurants has featured more than 840 establishments in 28 different states.
