If your mantra in life is 'I gotta have more cowbell,' then you are in for the evening of a lifetime when the band whose iconic song inspired the classic Saturday Night Live skit comes to the Sioux Empire this November.

Blue Öyster Cult is taking the Events Center stage at Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort in Larchwood, Iowa, Saturday, November 7th at 8:00 PM.

The band formed in the Long Island, New York town of Stony Brook in 1967 and has 15 albums to their credit. selling more than 25 million records worldwide.

BOC is best known for their 1976 single, '(Don't Fear) The Reaper', which peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song got a second life in April of 2000, when SNL host Christopher Walken played producer 'Bruce Dickinson' alongside Will Ferrell's 'Gene Frenkle', extoling the virtues of the cowbell in the now infamous skit.

Five years after the success of  '(Don't Fear) The Reaper', Blue Öyster Cult topped the Billboard Rock Chart with the single 'Burnin' For You'.

Two members remain from the band's most commercially successful lineup - Donald 'Buck Dharma' Roeser (lead guitar, vocals) and Eric Bloom (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards, synthesizer).

Tickets for the Grand Falls show go on sale to the public on Friday (April 24th), at 10:00 AM.
