Massive Fast Food Chain Expanding into South Dakota, North Dakota
One fast-food chain's enormous expansion plan now includes locations in the Upper Midwest.
Nation's Restaurant News is reporting that Pasadena, California-based Dave's Hot Chicken has an agreement in place to expand into South and North Dakota for the first time.
The six locations will be owned and operated by Fargo-based Dusty Jensen and Myron Thompson, who currently run a series of Applebee's and Noodles & Company restaurants.

Dave's menu has four main meals to choose from in either sliders or tenders.
Sides include:
- Fries
- Cheese fries
- Mac & Cheese
- Kale Slaw
In 2017, Dave's Hot Chicken began as a parking lot pop-up in Los Angeles and has since expanded to more than 160 restaurants in 31 states, Washington DC, and three other countries.
The company has sold the rights to more than 700 franchise locations in the U.S., Middle East, and Canada and will open 70-plus locations this year.

So far, only a Fargo location has been confirmed. The locations of the three South Dakota restaurants and two other North Dakota locations and a timetable for opening have yet to be announced.
