Macy’s Closes 66 Stores Nationwide, Including Two in Minnesota
One month after retail giant Macy's announced plans to shutter 150 'underperforming' stores nationwide, the doors have begun to close.
Two Minnesota stores are among those impacted.
The locations at the Maplewood Mall and Burnsville Center have been wiped from the chain's online store roster.
In a press release, Macy's says the closings are part of a plan to 'return the company to sustainable, profitable sales growth'. The closings will continue through the 2026 fiscal year.
