Head East, Peter Noone & Herman’s Hermits Coming to Hard Rock Sioux City
Local music fans of the 1960s and 1970s have a pair of newly announced shows to put on their calendars.
Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Sioux City is welcoming Head East and Peter Noone & Herman's Hermits to their Anthem venue.
Head East will be in Sioux City Friday, November 5. Noone appears November 20.
Head East, the pride of East Central Illinois and members of the Iowa Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, has nine studio albums to their credit dating all the way back to their debut album, Flat As A Pancake, in 1975. That album included their breakthrough hits 'Never Been Any Reason' and 'Love Me Tonight', which both landed on the Billboard Hot 100.
The band was back on the chart with the single 'Since You Been Gone' in 1978.
Noone and his band Herman's Hermits were big parts of the 'British Invasion' in the mid-1960s, scoring six Top 20 albums in America between 1965 and 1967. Peter was just 15 years old when he joined the band in 1964.
Herman's Hermits topped the Billboard Hot 100 twice in 1965 with the singles 'Mrs. Brown, You've Got A Lovely Daughter' and 'I'm Henry VIII, I Am'. The band landed in the Top Ten nine other times in the U.S.
Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday, September 10.
