Rock & Roll Hall of Famer John Lodge is Coming to Iowa in 2025
One of Rock & Roll's most iconic albums will be the backdrop for a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee's tour stop in Iowa in early 2025.
Bassist, singer, and songwriter John Lodge of The Moody Blues will perform at the Orpheum Theatre in Sioux City, Monday, March 3.
The show continues John's celebration of the Moody Blues’ 1967 album Days of Future Passed, which sold over a million copies in America, reaching #3 on the album chart and providing us with two of the band's biggest hit singles: 'Tuesday Afternoon' and 'Nights in White Satin'.
The album will be featured during the second half of the show, which will include a symphony accompaniment and the vocals of Jon Davison from Yes on 'Nights in White Satin'.
The first half of the concert will showcase some of the Moody Blues' other classic singles like ‘I’m Just a Singer (in a Rock and Roll Band)’ and ‘Ride my See-Saw’.
Tickets for the Sioux City show go on sale to the general public, Friday (January 3) at 10:00 AM.
John Lodge was born and raised in Birmingham, England, and at age 14 met future Moody Blues' bandmate Ray Thomas. Nine years later, in 1966, Lodge joined Thomas in the band, replacing original bassist Clint Warwick. At that same time, guitarist/vocalist Justin Hayward took over for Denny Laine.
Lodge, Thomas, and Hayward, along with drummer Graeme Edge, formed the core of the group that would play together for the next 50-plus years, pioneering the progressive rock genre, and selling more than 70 million albums worldwide.
The Moody Blues were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
