What could be more frustrating than having your vehicle recalled? How about having that same vehicle recalled a second time?

That's exactly what's happening to more than 125,000 Fords across the country.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the impacted vehicles were previously recalled for various issues and are now being recalled again because the repairs were done incorrectly.

The vehicles are being recalled for various reasons, including possible malfunctions in the automatic windows, gear selection, and the car's transmission clutch.

The models being recalled include:

  • 2018-2020 Ford F-150 (91,198 vehicles)
  • 2017 Ford Escape (18,124 vehicles)
  • 2018 Ford F-150 (10,742 vehicles)
  • 2015-2018 Ford Focus (3,763 vehicles)
  • 2013-2016 Ford Fusion (1,489 vehicles)

The 2018-2020 Ford F-150s are being recalled because of Daytime Running Lamps that may not dim, which could limit other drivers' visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

The 2017 Escapes were recalled due to a malfunction in the automatic windows that could increase the risk of injury.

The 2018 Ford F-150s were recalled due to issues with changing gears, which could increase the possibility of a crash or injury due to an unintended gear shift.

The Fusions and Focuses were recalled due to an issue with a transmission clutch that could lead to a transmission fluid leak. The issue could increase the risk of a fire if the fluid comes into contact with an ignition source, such as a hot engine.

Owners can also search for their vehicle identification number (VIN) or enter their state and license plate number on the NHTSA website to see if their vehicles are included in the recalls.
