When Foundation Park, a super-sized industrial park was announced two years ago, many in the Sioux Falls business community where excited to see how the large lots, access to rail and expanded services would help the community grow.

The planning and groundwork for Foundation Park paid off with the first groundbreaking for Win Chill on June 22, 2017.

Among those at the celebration were Sioux Falls Mayor Mike Huether, and Governor Dennis Daugaard.

“Win Chill is a partnership among proven South Dakota business leaders who are truly groundbreakers in their industries,” Governor Daugaard reflected. “This project will be a state-of-the-art player in frozen foods distribution, with all the hallmarks of being a game-changing company. Today’s groundbreaking marks a great day for South Dakota and the entire tri-state region.”

Win Chill  will be constructed by Gil Haugan Construction, a building just over 200,000 square feet, a warehouse and distribution site for frozen foods.

Foundation Park is located just north of I-90 on Marion Road.

All utilities, fiber optic cable, water and sanitary sewer will be extended within the next year, according to Slater Barr of the Sioux Falls Development Foundation.
