Do You Remember Minnesota’s Best ‘Man v. Food’ Dessert Challenges?
During its ten-season run (2008-2022) on the Travel Channel, the show Man v. Food crisscrossed the country in search of the most extreme eating challenges.
Overall, five of the show's 175 episodes stopped in the state of Minnesota where hosts Adam Richman (Seasons 1-4) and Casey Webb (Seasons 5-10) attempted to conquer things like:
The Meterbratwurst Challenge (a 3-foot-long bratwurst sausage and 2 sides of the challenger's choice),
the Bánh Mì Sandwich Challenge (a 2.5-foot, 4-pound bánh mì sandwich),
and the Lucy Challenge (2 1.5-pound spicy Juicy Lucy burgers plus 2 pounds of fries).
But the North Star State may be best remembered for the challenges that involved an obscene amount of sweets.
Mashed recently recapped The Absolute Best And Worst Dessert Challenges We've Seen On Man V Food and two from Minnesota landed on the 'best' list.
During Season 7 (July 9, 2018), Casey Webb headed to Betty's Pies in Duluth for the Pig Trough Challenge, which requires the consumption of three slices of pie (bumbleberry, key lime, and lemon angel), a banana, four scoops of vanilla ice cream, and a ton of toppings in just 20 minutes.

Two weeks later (July 23, 2018), another decadent Minnesota dessert challenge was featured on the show - the Holy Crêpe Challenge at Sota Hot and Cold in The Twin Cities.
With another 20 minutes on the clock, Casey needed to polish off three massive crêpes with rolled ice cream, three cups fresh fruit, whipped cream, and dessert biscuits on top.
So who came out on top - Man or Food?
Sadly, if you thought this ]one was right up your alley, you're out of luck. Sota Hot and Cold has since closed, so you'll have to try this one in your own kitchen.
