Portions of Interstate 229 in Sioux Falls will be down to just one lane in each direction for several days.

Starting Monday (January 29), the South Dakota Department of Transportation will be closing lanes, both northbound and southbound, on I-229 near the Cliff Avenue exit.

The closures will allow crews to relocate utilities in advance of a project that will install a temporary bridge over Cliff Avenue and widen I-229 northbound later this year.

Lane closures will be in effect from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM for four days, ending Thursday (February 1).
