If you've been paying attention over the past several years, you've no doubt noticed the quality of the food scene in Sioux Falls has grown by leaps and bounds.

Well, the travel website Explore has been watching South Dakota's largest city closely and is so sold on what's being served up here that they've included Sioux Falls to their list of The Best US Cities For Food Lovers To Add To Their Bucket List.

So what does it take to make the cut?

The site says the dozen places it identified 'seem like they are practically designed just for foodies.'

They went on to call Sioux Falls a 'little-known American food haven and the dream destination for foodies on a budget.'

So where do they recommend going to fully immerse yourself in the local dining scene? It's a mixture of locally-owned establishments and regional and national chains.

The list of quality Sioux Falls destinations also includes Prairie C: Prairie Cocoa and Confections Dessert Bar at 8th & Railroad Center which, sadly, is closing for good February 18.
