Old Iowa Barn Transformed Into Quaint Rustic Cabin That You Can Stay In [GALLERY]
It's like the perfect storm for many of us right now, as winter can't end soon enough. We are looking ahead to the bright spots that spring and summer will bring, and plotting our vacation getaways.
That's why I'm booking a stay here as we speak. If you want to come too, there's room for 6 people, but I'd rather have it all to myself. If you want a secluded, peaceful getaway, that's not too far away, I found the perfect Airbnb listing for me, I mean you, in Clear Lake.
It's $150 a night to stay at the "Moose Haus Lodge" but so worth it for the views and rustic feel. In fact, the description says it's an old barn turned into a rustic cabin. Superhost Amelia says:
This barn refinished into a rustic cabin will give you the feeling that you are in the middle of the woods while having the convenience of being in town.
It has a fireplace that looks like it's electric so you won't need firewood, but you are in a nice woodsy area. You're also ten minutes from town if you're heading to a show at the Surf Ballroom or a recreational jaunt to City Beach Park.
If the 2 bedrooms and upper loft with bunk beds for the kids aren't enough sleeping space, Superhost Amelia says you're welcome to bring your own air mattresses. For a $25 fee per pet, they are welcome too, except unfortunately for cats due to "family allergies".
As for amenities, most everything is provided including towels, dishes, cookware and utensils, and a few toiletries like soap and toilet paper. Yes, there's a TV if you're that bored here, and also, naturally, all the major kitchen appliances and heat/AC.
Now I said 6 people can stay here but the listing says it accommodates "gatherings of up to 25".
