On Friday afternoon fire officials in Union County got reports of a wildfire spreading rapidly. An evacuation order has been placed for farms and residents in the fire's path. The actions come after a Red Flag Warning was issued for dry conditions and strong winds.
According to our news gathering partners Dakota News Now, the fire zone is in the area of 474th to 476th Avenues and 308th to 312th Streets, just south of Nora.
Area farmers are assisting to disc land around the fire to halt the spread.
Two other fires are reported by Le Mars and Akron, IA. A third has been reported near Riverside Plaza near Harrisburg, SD.

 This is a developing story.
