I-90 Update: Sioux Falls Lane Closure For Asphalt And Guardrails

Another day, another traffic challenge for drivers on the interstates surrounding Sioux Falls.

What's Closing?

According to the South Dakota Department of Transportation, starting tomorrow (Wednesday), the Interstate 90 eastbound passing lane on the bridge over Interstate 229 will be closed.

The closure is needed for crews to place asphalt surfacing and install guardrail.

Construction Timeline

The traffic disruption is expected to last until July 31.

The overall $3.1 million project should be completed on September 26.
