It was a very lucky New Year's Eve for one lottery player in Minnesota. They are holding a Mega Millions ticket that is worth a fortune!

Someone in the North Star State matched the first five numbers drawn Tuesday (December 31) and is now $1 million richer. There were also $1 million winning tickets sold in Florida and New Jersey.

The winning numbers were 13-22-27-29-35 and the Mega Ball was 1.

Minnesota Lottery officials say the ticket was purchased at Cub Foods in Blaine. The store receives a $5,000 bonus for selling it.

The winner has one year to claim their prize at the Minnesota Lottery office in Roseville.

The good news for the rest of us? No one won the $20 million grand prize in Tuesday's drawing, which means the jackpot now stands at $42 million for Friday's (January 3) drawing.

This is the second massive Mega Millions win for a Minnesota player in the past three months. On October 3, a $2 million winning ticket was sold at Holiday Stationstore in Edina.
