Hall and Oates Release New Song With Train, ‘Philly Forget Me Not’
In advance of their upcoming co-headlining tour, Hall & Oates and Train have collaborated on a new song, "Philly Forget Me Not."
It's the first new song from Hall & Oates since 2002's "Do It for Love," and on it, Philadelphia native Hall, who now lives in New York, longs for his hometown by recalling his youth and even references his band's first No. 1 hit. "I remember 'Rich Girl' in the summer like yesterday," he sings.
"This song pretty much describes my feeling about Philly, my music home,” Hall said in a press release. You can listen to the song below.
“We have all been Hall & Oates fans since we can remember so being on a record with them is a life-long dream," said Train singer Pat Monahan. "Train couldn’t be more excited -- listening to them and playing along side them on tour each night is going to be incredible." "It will be cool to play a new song on this upcoming tour with Train," added John Oates.
The tour begins in Sacramento on May 1 and concludes on Aug. 11 in Seattle. Each show will feature full sets from both acts, who will perform together for a finale consisting of each group's hits, as well as "Philly Forget Me Not." You can see all the dates here.
Fans wanting a preview can catch the bands on a live stream from Daryl's House -- the restaurant and music club that Hall owns in Pawling, N.Y. -- which will be broadcast on iHeartRadio's YouTube channel on April 3 at 4PM ET.
