Chain with South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota Stores May Be Closing
These have certainly been unsteady times for major retail chains across America, with numerous locations feeling all kinds of financial hardships over the past few years.
Some have weathered the storm, while others have been forced to scale back dramatically or close their doors altogether.
The latest chain that may be on the brink financially has seven locations in South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that At Home Group is the latest chain with money problems. The Dallas-based company operates 266 locations in 40 states, including these locations in the Tri-State area:
SOUTH DAKOTA
IOWA
- Clive
- Council Bluffs
MINNESOTA
- Blaine
- Burnsville
- Rochester

The Journal story says At Home Group is currently in potential bankruptcy talks with investment bank PJT Partners and operational adviser AlixParters LLP.
Increased tariffs for goods imported from China, Mexico, and Canada appear to be a major contributing factor to At Home's financial woes.
