There's a pretty good chance that sometime this summer you are going to find yourself on the business end of a thick, juicy, delicious cheeseburger.

But as good as your favorite burger might be, are you missing out on some of the best creations the planet has to offer?

The travel website 2FoodTrippers recently spanned the globe in search of the finest slabs of meat between two buns and compiled their list of the 50 Burgers You Need to Eat.

In all, they included burgers from 18 different countries on four continents, with offerings from conventional cheeseburgers to patty melts, sliders, smash burgers, and lamb burgers, to one topped with pimento cheese and another with mushrooms.

They even included a burger you can only get on a cruise ship.

A number of the Top 50 burgers came from American establishments, which includes two that you can find in South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota.

What this duo lacks in originality, they more than makeup for in popularity.
