One of Sioux Falls busiest streets will impacted by road work this week.

Beginning today (Monday, July 10), portions of Western Avenue will be closed while crews are applying a Slurry Seal in the area from Madison Street on the North to 41st Street on the South.

The scheduled closings:

  • Monday (July 10): 41st Street to 26th Street
  • Tuesday (July 11): 26th Street to 12th Street
  • Wednesday (July 12): 12th Street to Madison Street

Each segment is expected to re-open by 5:00 PM each day.

Traffic will be maintained to the MIDCO Aquatic center using 24th Street.
