Sioux Falls Restaurant Among 500 Worldwide Offering Gift Card Bonuses
As businesses all over the country have been forced to re-invent how they operate in the wake of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, fewer industries have had to adapt more than the restaurants of America.
Most have shifted operations away from offering sit-down meals to a grab-and-go or delivery system for the foreseeable future. Some have even opted to close their doors until the restrictions that come with this health crisis have passed.
Across the globe, one group of restaurant owners have turned to a tactic from decades ago to try and pump some much-needed cash flow into the food service industry.
It's known as the Dining Bond Initiative, and so far, more than 500 restaurants worldwide some offering extra value to their gift cards, some offering discounts, buy-one-get-one-free items, or add-on options.
A select group is trying to mimic the old war bond days by adding value to their certificates the longer a customer holds on to one.
The only Sioux Falls location on the global list so far is Ode To Food, at Cherapa Place.
They are offering the added value of breakfast for two (a $15-$20 value per person), to be used once the dining room reopens, with the purchase of a $100 dollar gift card.
To buy a card you can go to the restaurant or call 605-275-6332 and they will mail you a card and breakfast certificate.
