Law Enforcement Cracks Down On Crime In Sioux Falls
The latest crime crackdown in Sioux Falls yielded some significant results.
Operation: Prairie Thunder saw its sixth set of saturation patrols in the area conclude October 31st. The operation is designed to target crime and unsafe road activity.

The final numbers from the latest patrols:
- Citations issued: 279
- Warnings issued: 264
- Drug charges: 148
- Felony drug charges: 24
- Total suspects in custody: 59
- Drug suspects in custody: 38
- Drivers with revoked licenses: 14
- DUIs: 8
- Reclkess drivers: 1
- Cash seized: $3,808
- Guns seized: 2
Patrols included members of the South Dakota Highway Patrol in coordination with Sioux Falls Police, Minnehaha County Sheriff, and federal law enforcement.
Governor Larry Rhoden launched the program back in July.
