Next week, the Sioux Falls Children's Choir will have a unique opportunity to accompany one of the greatest rock bands of all time on stage at the Sanford PREMIER Center.

At the Wednesday, August 28th show, classic rockers Foreigner will welcome the Sioux Falls Children's Choir on stage for their 1984 hit, 'I Want to Know What Love Is.' It was released as a love theme 40 years ago this year and was the lead single from their fifth album, Agent Provocateur.

The song went to number one on the United States rock charts.

Sioux Falls Children's Choir director, Kaela Schuiteman, says the kids are ready and excited.

Our singers have not stopped talking about the chance to sing 'I Want to Know What Love Is' with such an iconic band since we got the news we were selected. Performing on the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center stage with Foreigner will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for these young musicians and hopefully it will ignite a passionfor music that continue for their whole lives.

Sanford Health's Dr. Paul Chlebeck has a daughter performing on stage. He says, "The Sioux Falls Children's Choir is so excited to be singing along with Foreigner. They have special T-shirts ready to go for this once-in-a-lifetime event."

For the background singing assistance, Foreigner will also donate $500 to the Sioux Falls Children's Choir.

Styx, along with special guest John Waite will also be performing. The 50 city tour known as the 'Renegades and Jukebox Heroes Tour', also serves as Foreigner's Farewell Tour as they say goodbye to the road.

There are still tickets available and you can purchase them online at Ticketmaster.

The 3-act show is scheduled to start at 6:45 PM.

The modern marvel that is YouTube never ceases to amaze me. Sure, there's plenty of garbage there, but you can also find some gems.
