Sebastian Bach Kicks Off ‘Skid Row’ Anniversary Tour – Videos, Set List
Sebastian Bach kicked off his tour marking the 30th anniversary of Skid Row’s self-titled debut album with a concert at the Cannery Ballroom in Nashville last night (Aug. 29).
His 15-song set opened with “Tornado” – the final track on the LP – and “Forever” before the main part of the show featured the rest of Skid Row performed in order. He encored with the title track and “Monkey Business" from the band's 1991 follow-up Slave to the Grind.
Introducing “18 and Life,” Bach told the audience: “Why do I think that I’m doing a rap about a secret when you know the fucking order of the record?” Instead of a dramatic lead-up he added flatly: “This next song is ’18 and Life.’” Later, before launching into “I Remember You,” he said: “We didn’t get any awards for this next one but Carrie Underwood does a great fuckin’ version of it, so thank you Carrie Underwood! Maybe Carrie Underwood will get an award for this song. But this is our song, people, this is our song.”

After announcing his tour, Bach said he wanted his former Skid Row colleagues to join him on the road. “We all know who the five guys are that made that record,” he explained. “I have an open invitation out to any of those guys, if they would like to get onstage and jam.” While he admitted he didn’t foresee it happening, he continued: “I’m throwing it out there. The bottom line is you only get so many 30 years. It doesn’t roll around too often, a 30-year anniversary. So, would I like to celebrate it with the original members? … Who knows if I’m gonna get hit by a truck tomorrow? So we’re kind of, like, getting older now. So we can either shit or get off the pot, I think the saying goes.”
Bach's 30th anniversary tour continues through Nov. 2 in Pinellas Park, FL. Several shows (including the next three) are sold out, but you can get tickets for the rest through his official website.
