A new year will be bringing a new sound to B102.7's morning show - the Bob & Tom Show.

Monday morning, longtime member of the show, Kristi Lee, announced she was leaving after nearly three decades, to pursue other opportunities. The official word came in the form of an open letter from Kristi on the show's website:

INDIANAPOLIS, Jan 11, 2016 – – I am excited to announce that I am embarking on the next chapter of my career. After almost 28 years with The Bob and Tom Show, I have decided to pursue new opportunities in 2016.

I wish all those involved in making The Bob and Tom Show the best radio program in America continued success. I owe this part of my career to Bob Kevoian, Tom Griswold, Chick McGee, Dean Metcalf and all of those on staff. They have been family to me both on and off the air. I gained a lifetime of growth and experience for which I am extremely grateful.

I also want to thank the loyal listeners who grew up with me. YOU make the show the legend it has become!

All of you, Bob, Tom, Chick, Dean, co-workers, affiliates (especially Q95 WFBQ), fans, will forever be a part of my “story”.

Stay tuned for what’s next…..

Kristi is the second member of the show to leave in the past two months. Bob Kevoian announced his retirement when he and Tom Griswold were inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in November. His last day on-the-air was just before Christmas.

In preparation for a Bob & Tom Comedy Tour stop in Sioux Falls two years ago, I had a chance to talk with Kristi about a number of different things related to her life on - and off - the radio.

The Bob and Tom Show lives on with Tom Griswold and Chick McGee, plus an array of special guests, every weekday morning from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM on Sioux Falls 'Home for Classic Rock' - B102.7.
