Stevie Nicks says she called Mick Fleetwood out for accusing her earlier this year of putting her solo work ahead of Fleetwood Mac. Back in March, Fleetwood told Playboy, "I don't believe Fleetwood Mac will ever tour again, but I really hope we do. We have rehearsed and prepared for it since 2010. We were supposed to tour in 2011, but we delayed it for a year to allow Stevie Nicks to support her solo record and for Lindsey Buckingham to do the same with his. I've always been supportive of my bandmates doing solo albums, so long as we kept our band together. . . I played drums on most of Stevie's album, the one she is still out there supporting and the one that is the reason that, for now, she refuses to do a Fleetwood Mac tour. It comes down to her."

Nicks, who spent both 2011 and 2012 promoting her Top Ten hit album, In Your Dreams, told, Yahoo Music, "I completely beat Mick up about that, because he was not thinking when he did that article. Mick knows more than anybody how loyal I am to Fleetwood Mac. When I went to do my solo career in 1981, I sat everybody down and said, 'Listen, I am not leaving Fleetwood Mac ever. And you can believe me, that's a promise. I am only doing a solo career because I have so many extra songs that I need another vehicle, so that when we come home and you guys all go off on these great big vacations, I'll just go and work on a record and then I'll go out and do a three-month tour, and then I'll be ready when you start up again. I'm never going to be the one to break up this band, so don't ever put that on me.' And I have been true to my word through everything."

Lindsey Buckingham added that he completely supported Nicks' decision to keep her solo album on the front burner for an extra year: "Yes, Fleetwood Mac was supposed to be going out last year and touring, and yes, Stevie's reneging on that did cause a certain amount of frustration in the ranks. But you know, I don't think there's any way you can point fingers at anybody. We've all been ones to cause trouble at one time or another. And I would not begrudge her -- nor did I begrudge her -- following her bliss to the point of getting to 2013."

Stevie Nicks has been a solo superstar for over four decades now. We asked her how she feels about juggling two very high profile careers over the years: "A solo career and Fleetwood Mac are a really great thing to go back and forth to. Because, y'know, you can do your solo work and then you could do Fleetwood Mac, and then you can go back to your solo work and then you could do Fleetwood Mac. It really is kind of a blessing in many ways. You never get bored, so you can do your thing until you start to get bored and then you can go to the other thing. (Laughs) And then you can do that until you start to get bored and go back to the other thing. And it really makes for staying in a much more excited and uplifted humor for everything that you do when you're not just doing one thing."
