Carrie Underwood’s Denim & Rhinestones Tour Coming To MN
After a hiatus from making country music and touring, Carrie Underwood is officially back, with a massive new tour kicking off later this year.
This is the newest concert announcement in a sea of many major shows and tours that have been announced for the rest of the year! Everyone from Dierks Bentley to Eric Church to Jake Owen will be hitting the road for the summer and rest of 2022.
Dierks will be playing a one-off show in Welch, Minnesota later this month. Sam Hunt also announced a show at the same venue, Treasure Island Resort & Casino. Sadly, the concert has been a bit overshadowed thanks to all the news around his personal life.
Jake Owen will also launch a tour this summer and thankfully, he will be playing a show right here in Duluth! He will headline Bayfront Country Jam, along with newcomer Tyler Rich and Hermantown High School native Rafe Carlson.
These are just a few examples of many as country artists get back on the road after a long few years unable to tour because of the pandemic. One of those artists is Carrie Underwood, who just announced a mega-tour across the country.
She will kick off the tour in October of this year and the tour will carry over into March of 2023. The tour name itself shares the name of her next album, which is due out on June 10th. She's released a gospel album and a Christmas album over the past few years but this will be her first country album since 2018.
She will play tunes from her new album and classics from her past on the new tour, which will feature Jimmie Allen as the opener. You can catch the show at the Target Center on Tuesday, October 25th. The venue is located in Minneapolis.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday, May 20th at 10 a.m. local time. The Target Center is about two hours from the Twin Ports.
If you've even seen a video of Carrie performing, you know she puts on an incredible show. If you plan on attending the show, it is best to brush up on the Target Center's policies before you get there. As of the time of writing, there are no COVID-19 policies in place for this show but that is subject to change as the show gets closer.
