Minnesota Has Another Massive Lottery Jackpot Winner
After a string of jackpot winnings of $1 million or more in Minnesota over a four-month stretch earlier this year, the big bucks payouts seemed to dry up in the North Star State.

Minnesota Lottery officials confirm that a Mega Millions ticket sold in the state for the September 27 drawing landed one player a massive payout
The ticket, purchased at the Holiday Gas Station in Edina, matched the first five numbers drawn (29-46-53-69-70), which is normally worth $1 million, but since the player added the Megaplier option to their ticket for an extra dollar, their win was multiplied by 2 (the Megaplier number drawn) for a $2 million win.
The winner will have one year to claim their prize.
The Mega Millions jackpot now stands at $108 million for Friday's (October 4) drawing.
This is the seventh lottery jackpot of $1 million or more since early March in Minnesota:
- March 3: $1,789,891 (Lotto America ticket sold in Roseville)
- March 21: $1,000,000 (Powerball ticket sold in Zumbro Falls)
- April 3: $1,000,000 (Powerball ticket sold in Fridley)
- April 17: $1,911,615 (Gopher 5 ticket sold in Worthington)
