The first confirmed grandstand act for the 2025 South Dakota State Fair is a guy who knows all about this part of the world.

Comedian Larry 'The Cable Guy' will appear in Huron, South Dakota Friday, August 29 at 8:00 PM. Tickets range in price from $35 - $65 and include gate admission if purchased before the fair.

Born Daniel Lawrence Whitney in Pawnee City, Nebraska, Larry rose to fame as a member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour 25 years ago, alongside Bill Engvall, Ron White, and Jeff Foxworthy.

Over the years, Larry has released seven albums, and starred in three Blue Collar Comedy Tour-related films, as well as Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector (2006), Delta Farce (2007), and Witless Protection (2008).

Larry grabbed a whole new fan base in 2006 when he lent his voice to Mater in the Cars movie franchise.

Tickets for the South Dakota State Fair show begin May 27 with a VIP Table Pre-Sale. The Backrest Holders and Friends of the Fair Pre-Sale is June 2-5.

General Public tickets go on sale June 9.
