During the month of October, Hy-Vee and its customers were extremely busy raising money for the American Red Cross, which will in turn be given to help out recent hurricane victims.
Dakota News Now is reporting that the Hy-Vee Stores made a whopping donation totaling $341,307.48, which included a $100,000 corporate match to the over $241,000 raised from customers at the checkout-out lanes during its two-week roundup campaign in October.
Throughout the two-week donation period, Hy-Vee shoppers were given the opportunity to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar amount in an effort to help out all the victims impacted by the recent hurricane that struck Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, and Tennessee.

The Hy-Vee disaster relief team arrived in disaster areas with a large flatbed generator and several trailers filled with bottled water and various other supplies and necessities which will be given to support partners handling relief operations on the ground in the impacted areas.
Hy-Vee currently has over 285 stores throughout the Midwest in states like Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
