South Dakota Travels To Ohio For 50th Annual Twins Days Festival
South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota families have a favorite vacation spot they travel to each summer. For my family, we always attended the "Twins Days Festival."
Located in Twinsburg, Ohio, the annual festival occurs during the first weekend of August. Events throughout the weekend include carnival games, twin contests, the "Double Take" Parade, and more. They even have a volleyball tournament for twins!

Thousands of multiples from all over the world attend the three-day celebration, including those from South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota. My sister Katie and I looked forward to this weekend to meet other twins like us, as well as triplets, quads, and sometimes quintuplets! Plus, we loved visiting our favorite bed and breakfast establishment, "The Inn at Brandywine Falls."
Back in the day, we entered the "Most Alike" and "Least Alike" Twin Contests. But we never won. No one has ever been able to determine if we look alike or not. It's been the running joke in the family for a while. We're technically identical...At least that's what the doctors told my parents (haha).
After years of not attending, we finally made our way back to the Twins Days Festival. This was the ultimate sister weekend, and perfect for a late 30th birthday celebration.

For any twins in the Sioux Empire, it's worth a trip. You're in your little world, and there are a lot of opportunities to meet new people. Katie and I would go up to every twin we saw just to say hi. You also create many memories with your family. This trip always brought my family closer.
