South Dakota Is Looking For Powerball Winners, Check Tickets

Winning the lottery feels like it's almost impossible. But it does happen to very lucky people who purchase these life-changing tickets.

The Powerball Jackpot drawing occurs every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday evening. Although a South Dakota ticket did not win the $754.6 million prize, two Powerball Jackpot tickets did win a huge amount of money. One of the winning tickets was sold in Sioux Falls.

One winning ticket was sold in Pierre and the other in Sioux Falls

In a post on its Facebook account, officials with the South Dakota Lottery say they are still looking for two tickets worth...$50,000! One ticket was sold in Pierre and the other was purchased in a popular grocery store in Sioux Falls.

The Hy-Vee store along Minnesota Avenue (3000 S. Minnesota) sold one of the winning Powerball Jackpot tickets from Saturday's drawing.

These were the winning Powerball Jackpot numbers from Saturday's drawing (February 4th):

2, 8, 15, 19 and 58, and the Powerball is 10

The South Dakota Lottery hopes to find these lucky winners as soon as possible. Here is what you should do if you are one of the Powerball Jackpot winners:

If you are either of Saturday's winners, please sign the back of your ticket immediately then visit a Lottery validation center to claim your prize! Must be 18 years or older to play. Please play responsibly.

If you have yet to win lotteries like the Powerball Jackpot. Don't worry! There is still another chance for you to become a millionaire! The next drawing for the Powerball Jackpot will be Wednesday, February 8th. Unfortunately, a golden ticket in Washington won the big $754.6 million prize, which is the ninth largest total in US history. The new Powerball Jackpot total is $20 million. That's still a lot of dough!
