
Inspiring Minnesota Singer Snags Top 30 Spot on ‘American Idol’
A strong Fergus Falls, Minnesota, singer is winning the hearts of America on national television.
Chris Tungseth has been wowing the judges of American Idol, and now his talent is taking him to the next round of the competition. Woahwhoo!

Chris Tungseth did another stunning performance during Hollywood Week on American Idol. He's calling this time in his life a "new season of joy," and it shows on stage.
As mentioned in a previous story, music has always been a huge part of Chris' life. He wouldn't be where he is right now without the love and support of his family. Everything he's doing on American Idol is for them. Family is his motivation, and you can hear that in each note.
For his big Hollywood Week song, Chris performed "Jealous" by Labrinth. He heard this song after his dad passed away. Knowing it's a breakup song, Chris tells his mom in an interview that it means so much more to him.
"When I listen to it after losing dad, I think of you losing dad cause there are parts in that song where it's like, 'I'm jealous of the rain that falls upon your skin.' "
American Idol can't get enough of this performance and Chris!
