Sioux Falls Windy City Bites Permanently Closing Downtown Bar

A local Sioux Falls bar is closing its location for good, but not all hope is lost for this business.

Located on North Indiana Ave, Windy City Bites in Sioux Falls is closing down the bar. However, the beloved Windy City Bites food truck will live on.

Sioux Falls Windy City Bites began as a food truck and expanded into a restaurant that opened in 2022. The local eatery is known for making Chicago-style beef sandwiches and hot dogs, along with wings and burgers. It's Chicago-style food with a little "Caribbean Soul."

The decision to close wasn't easy for the owners of Windy City Bites. They shared the difficult news in a Facebook post.

The last day for Windy City Bites will be Wednesday, November 12th. But there is some good news. Windy City Bites will continue to operate its food truck and catering business.

We’re grateful for every guest, celebration, and conversation shared inside these walls. As our lease comes to an end we are sad, yet happy to spend more time together as a family. Our food truck and catering will continue—follow our socials for locations and bookings.

It's all about family for Windy City Bites. There's nothing more fulfilling than that.

The Windy City Bites bar is just one of many local businesses that have shut down this year alone. You can tell Sioux Falls will miss visiting the bar.
