One of the most distinctive voices of 1990s rock is coming to Sioux Falls in 2026.

Former Queensryche lead singer Geoff Tate will be on stage at The District, Tuesday, April 28th. The show will feature a performance of the band's iconic 1988 album, Operation: Mindcrime, in its entirety.

Tate got his start in 1980 in a progressive rock band called Babylon and was later asked to sing with the cover band The Mob, which would eventually start writing original material and become Queensrÿche in 1982.

Tate fronted the group for 13 albums over the next 30 years, with the biggest success coming with back-to-back top ten albums, Empire (1990), and Promised Land (1994). Empire produced Queensryche's only top 40 single on the Billboard Hot 100, 'Silent Lucidity', which peaked at #9, while topping the rock chart. The song was also nominated for a pair of Grammys.

He has continued to make music since leaving Queensryche in 2012 and has also launched his own brand of wine, Insania, with his wife, Susan.

Tickets for the show go on sale this week, with a 10:00 AM pre-sale on Wednesday (December 17) and the general public sale on Friday (December 19) at 10:00 AM.
