Ford F-150 Gets Massive Recall for Brakes
Ford is having a rough week.
Imagine driving down the road in your newer Ford F-150 pickup truck and the emergency brake activates. Ford Motor Company is trying to head off potential brake failures such as this by recalling 187,000 Ford F-150 trucks.
According to the Associated Press, the rear wiring bundle can come in contact with the rear axle housing and become worn. This could cause either a warning light to come on, or - in the worst case scenario - the brake will activate while the vehicle is in motion.
Recalls on the Ford F-150 - the best selling truck in America - will begin going out in September says Ford Motor Company. The best thing to do is to take your F-150 to a dealership and have them inspect the wiring. If it's found worn or chafed, they'll know how to fix it.

The 2014 - 2016 Ford Transit Connect is also being recalled due to door latch mechanisms which could cause the door to fly open while in motion.
