U2 are working on a new album, but Bono says he's not sure the world needs another album from the Irish band. On PBS's Charlie Rose Thursday night, he said, "For sure they don't need it unless it's great."

Over the hour-long broadcast, Bono also talked about his humanitarian work, his bandmates, songwriting and the songwriters who influenced him, including Bob Dylan, Bob Marley and John Lennon. And despite his love for Lennon, he's not a fan of John's most famous solo song, "Imagine." Bono explained, "I love so many things about John Lennon, but imagining wasn't one of them. I'm more of a doing. More of an actions. More of a building."
