August on Netflix Is Looking Pretty Good

I'm still getting through the final season of Orange is the New Black on Netflix, which was released at the end of July.

But, August is looking pretty good as well.

I was excited to see that Mindhunter Season 2 will finally be out on August 16th. If you like true crime, serial killers, The FBI, or Jonathan Groff then you need to watch this show!

In a nutshell, it's about the first guys working at The FBI that started profiling serial killers. I'm not sure serial killer was even a term yet. Anyway, they go interview the worst of the worst in prison and try to make connections. The show is based on the true crime book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker.

The first season we saw actor portrayals of notorious serial killers Ed Kemper, Montie Rissell, Jerry Brudos, and Richard Speck. In season two, things get real interesting with Charles Manson!

Then, the next week on August 23rd, things get even more dark and twisty with season 3 of 13 Reasons Why. Some people think this show should have just been one season. It was based off a book of the same name and the first season did that book justice, but now things are getting real crazy! Season 2 left us with an almost mass school shooting and somehow season 3 promises a new murder mystery. Who killed Bryce Walker? Personally, I think he was the worst kind of human and the world won't miss him, but like, I still wanna know who done it! It could be anybody! Everybody hated him!

This show makes me so happy that I'm not currently in high school.

Now, changing gears completely! One of my all time favorite movies is now on Netflix as of August 1! Now and Then!!!

You guys, this movie was everything to me growing up. It's about four girls having a really awesome Summer full of mystery, town gossip, cute boys, and most importantly friendship! Also, the movie has one of the best soundtracks ever!

The cast is pretty legit too! The Now and Then cast includes, but is not limited to Christina Ricci, Rosie O'Donnell, Melanie Griffith, Demi Moore, Thora Birch, Gaby Hoffman, and Rita Wilson!!!
