Rock Valley Football Showdown: Vikings Triumph Over Jaguars In Epic Game

Last week Sunday, history was made in the small town of Rock Valley, Iowa, located just over the border to the southeast. A town of about 4,000 has a few football stand-outs including Andrew Van Ginkel and Brandon Scherff.

Van Ginkel transferred from the Miami Dolphins this year to join the Minnesota Vikings. Scherff is playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars. These teams met in Florida last week giving Rock Valley football fans a reason to cheer. Brandon Scherff makes his off-season home in Rock Valley and Van Ginkel is from the same small northwest Iowa town.

To see these two duke it out on the gridiron last Sunday was a win for the town that has gone through devastating flooding in June.

The Minnesota Vikings came out on top only by a few points and it was another nail biter finish.
