The Foo Fighters latest album Concrete and Gold is "the biggest sounding Foo Fighters record we've ever made" said Dave Grohl told BBC One. He promised lots of guests on the new album and some that will "really surprise you."

In fact, Grohl goes on to say that one of the biggest pop stars in the world sings backup for one of the heaviest songs on the album - and they're not telling anybody who it is.

Dave Grohl has said in the past in an interview with Pulse of Radio that their approach to songwriting is pretty basic.

It's pretty simple with this band. If there's a melody and there's a good lyric, then we've got ourselves a song in a couple of minutes. If we could throw it together, and get an arrangement together, and put it down on tape, that's kind of what we do best, you know: that simple, melodic rock that gets stuck in your head." - Dave Grohl

Concrete and Gold will arrive on September 15. The Foo Fighters will celebrate the release of the album with a North American tour which takes them to the Denny Sanford Premier Center on November 11, 2017.
