Where to Have Some Pumpkin Patch Fun Around Sioux Falls

Bringing kids and loved ones to pick the perfect pumpkin is one of many memories created with family and friends. Spending a day outside and finding some awesome pumpkins to decorate your home just eclipses fall weather perfectly.

Pumpkin patches go beyond the pumpkins in the field. Some pumpkin patches offer hayrides, sweet treats from the farm bakery, hot apple cider, and even fun photo opportunities. Visiting a pumpkin patch in the Sioux Falls area is truly an experience for all to enjoy.

Now that fall weather is slowly permeating the Sioux Empire, some people want to take advantage of it and enjoy the outdoors by picking pumpkins from the pumpkin patch. So where can you can find some of the most inviting pumpkin patches in the Sioux Empire?

With the assistance of both Travel South Dakota and Only In Your State, I discovered five pumpkin patches around the Sioux Falls area to check out this fall season.

See Some of Sioux Falls' Beautiful Murals [PHOTOS]

I was in Canton, SD, and I happened upon a new mural.

It was really cool and that got me thinking that I know of a few murals in Sioux Falls, but I bet there's more than I realize. So, I put it out on social media for the people of Sioux Falls to tell me where all the murals are!

A few of them I had never seen, or never even been to that part of town, and a few of them, I drive by all the time and never noticed!

I know a few businesses have murals inside their establishments, but I decided to keep it to murals that are totally open for the public to see. No need to be 21!

So, here we go! Let's check out some of Sioux Falls' murals.
Did I miss one? Let me know!

Have You Ever Explored the 'War Eagle Monument' on the South Dakota/Iowa Border?

Originally being from the Sioux City area, I grew up knowing about the War Eagle Monument perched on a bluff along I-29. There was at least one field trip for every kid in the area to the monument.

However, speaking with folks from Sioux Falls, they didn't seem to know what I was talking about. All they know about I-29 in Sioux City was that it was usually under construction.

When crossing into Iowa from South Dakota on I-29, look up!
