You've been hearing and seeing so much about the devastation of Hurricane Harvey and wondering what you can do from South Dakota.

Now is your chance to reach out.

Volunteers are needed to help and the American Red Cross is offering an intensive training course for anyone interested in deploying to assist.

Training is scheduled for Monday, September 4th from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. To register for the training go to: Red Cross Training - Hurricane Harvey.

The Red Cross will match your skills with the needs of that community. Volunteers travel costs, food and shelter during their deployment are covered by the Red Cross.

Now after your training you may be eligible to deploy for 14-days to assist in shelters. Assignment to assist with Hurricane Harvey is not guaranteed due to the changing needs.
