Two South Dakota Beers Made the List of ‘Best Beers in America’
Men’s Journal recently posted a story about the ‘101 Best Beers in America’ and it turns out that you can find one of them right here in Sioux Falls. Hydra Beer Company's Immortal 7 made the list.
According to the article,
Immortal, brewed with seven types of malt and British yeast cultures brings a reddish-brown color, slight biscuity aroma, and caramel-like sweetness to the glass. At 5-percent ABV and a subtle hop bitterness, the English-style ale is a classic example of a malty brew that you can enjoy all day.
The other beer that made the list from South Dakota is a beer called, Pile-O-Dirt Porter from the Crow Peak Brewing in Spearfish, South Dakota.
Sitting just outside South Dakota's Black Hills, Crow Peak cranks out classic American ales with its porter, standing as a quintessential example of the style. It features deep layers of chocolate, coffee, and caramel malt flavors, all wrapped neatly into a single delicious dark ale.
So the next time you want to plan a dinner date, or a quick weekend out to the Black Hills, make sure you stop by Hydra Beer Company or Crow Peak Brewing. For a complete list of the 101 Best Beers in America, click here.
