This South Dakota Video Has 19 Million Views on YouTube
With all of the scenic beauty South Dakota has to offer you would think that the state's most-viewed video on YouTube would be some majestic shots of Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, or Spearfish Canyon.
But that's not the case.
Instead, the South Dakota-related video that's been seen more than 19 million times focuses on a piece of metal located far away from the breathing scenery of the Black Hills.
The 2014 video is from a company called Prairie Aerial and it follows tower climber Kevin Schmidt scaling the now-inactive KDLT-TV broadcast tower near Salem.
This isn't your run-of-the-mill tower, this structure measures a whopping 1,500 feet, which would place it among the top 15 tallest structures in the world.
Since being uploaded in November 2014, the video has racked up 19,134,032 views.
That's more than the next four most popular South Dakota videos combined.
